Can you feel the Blog tonite?

Ok, so that title really sucked. (but I don't care)

Recently I stumbled across a fellow blogger who happens to be in law school. His post that day I found amusingly amusing and I have continued to read him, and for good reason.

He posted a very interesting analysis of bloggers and blogs here.

I'm always hearing a lot of flack about the uselessness of blogs and bloggers, and I feel that he refutes it rather well.

Blogs are increasingly having a role in the way we communicate with each other. Gone are the days of a mass e-mail to all your friends and family with a life update, gone are the days of catching people up on the minutiae of your life.

Gone are the days of calling your parents, as they can simply check your site for any major life updates. (like my marriage to Rachel Ray ...just kidding mom and dad)

There are people now who are able to live a quite comfortable life by simply posting about their gastrointestinal disorders and hairy husbands (*cough* dooce *cough*).

Blogs are now a major part of our culture, and all you old fogey's out there just need to get used.

Sorry Mr. "Real" Journalist, we are coming for you, we are coming for you job, and we are coming over for dinner, so call the wife and tell her to make something nice!
